Meet the Inventor

Francis X. Awity

Inventor

About the developer

Francis Awity observed that people with vision disabilities do not have much to protect them. A standard cane for the blind helps with objects in front of you but what about low clearance or fast moving objects, etc?

Francis, being visually impaired himself (and a member of the Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County) sat down and started designing his concerns and contacted the Mars Rising Network and had a provisional patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that he may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product.

He is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the system for a royalty.
